Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
1
We operate as a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide a superbill for certain evaluations (i.e., all evaluations except psychoeducational evaluations, as insurance typically does not reimburse for academic testing) that you may submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance provider before scheduling to understand your out-of-network mental health benefits and typical reimbursement rates for psychological testing services.
What does the evaluation process look like from start to finish?

1. Initial Screening Call (Week 1): Contact Summit Neuropsychology through our website to schedule a brief screening call with our administrative assistant to determine the best-fit evaluation, review costs and the process, and schedule your appointment. A $400 deposit is required to reserve your testing date.
2. Intake & Records (Week 1-2): You’ll complete intake forms through our secure patient portal covering developmental, medical, educational, and emotional history. With your authorization, we may also request relevant records from schools, physicians, or prior providers.
3. Testing Day (Week 2-3): Plan to arrive at 9:30 AM. Your child will begin testing with a certified psychological assistant. While your child is testing, Dr. Rollet will conduct the clinical interview with the parent. If you are an adult seeking an evaluation, we complete the clinical interview prior to clinical testing. Testing typically takes anywhere between 4 to 7 hours, with a 45-minute lunch break, and ample breaks are provided throughout testing. The day concludes with preliminary feedback where you'll learn about initial results and any pressing recommendations.
4. Feedback Session (Week 4): Approximately 2–3 weeks after testing, you’ll meet with Dr. Rollet via telehealth for a 60–90 minute feedback session. You’ll receive a detailed report beforehand outlining results, diagnoses (if applicable), and individualized recommendations.
5. Post-Evaluation Support (Ongoing): Unlike many practices, Summit Neuropsychology can provide continued support after your evaluation is complete. Dr. Rollet offers follow-up consultations, school meeting attendance, progress check-ins, and guidance with implementing recommendations or connecting with services. My doctor recommended a neuropsychological evaluation. Is Summit Neuropsychology the right place?
3
Yes. Summit Neuropsychology specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Danaë Rollet is a licensed psychologist with specialty training in pediatric neuropsychology, having completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship and a postdoctoral fellowship specifically in pediatric assessment. If a physician, psychiatrist, therapist, or school has recommended a neuropsychological evaluation for your child, Summit Neuropsychology is designed to meet that need.
What is the difference between a psychoeducational evaluation and a neuropsychological evaluation?
4
A psychoeducational evaluation focuses primarily on learning and academic performance, assessing cognitive abilities, reading, writing, math, attention, and related factors that impact school success. It's ideal for concerns about learning disabilities, ADHD, academic underperformance, giftedness/twice-exceptionality, or school accommodations. A neuropsychological evaluation is typically recommended when there are complex developmental concerns, medical or neurological history (e.g., seizures, head injury, or genetic conditions), complex psychiatric history requiring diagnostic clarification, or when a more detailed understanding of brain-behavior relationships is needed.
How do I make an appointment?
5
Getting started is simple. You can book an inquiry call directly through our website. During this call, our practice coordinator will help determine which evaluation best fits your needs and schedule your evaluation. A $400 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your appointment slot, with the remaining balance due on your testing day.
What ages do you evaluate?
6
We provide evaluations for children as young as age 4 through young adults in their twenties. Though our primary focus is pediatric neuropsychology, we do offer adult ADHD evaluations for individuals seeking diagnostic clarity and recommendations for managing attention and executive functioning challenges.
