Autism (ASD) Evaluation

What Is Autism Testing, or an Autism (ASD) Evaluation?

For families who have been wondering whether their child may be on the autism spectrum, Dr. Rollet conducts an in-depth evaluation using the ADOS-2, one of the most widely respected tools for autism evaluation. This evaluation is designed not only to clarify diagnosis, but also to help families better understand how autism may impact learning, socio-emotional functioning, and day-to-day life.

Who This Evaluation Is For

This evaluation is a good fit for children whose families or providers have noticed:

  • Differences in social communication, eye contact, or peer relationships

  • Repetitive behaviors, intense interests, or a strong need for routine and predictability

  • Sensory sensitivities to sound, texture, light, or touch

  • Delayed or atypical language development

  • A pediatrician, teacher, or therapist has recommended an autism evaluation

What to Expect

Testing time varies based on your child’s age and the complexity of the presentation, and includes the ADOS-2 direct observation, a clinical interview hour with caregivers, and a feedback session hour to review results and next steps.

You’ll leave with a clear diagnostic picture, along with practical guidance on how autism may be showing up in learning, social-emotional functioning, and daily life.
